The viewing of art and what you see is a personal experience. We all see different styles with differing views. I may see Picasso as the greatest artist of the 20th Century, you may say Hockney. The point is that you are embracing art. To me, an analogy of art would be similar to comparing viewing art to women. If we all saw women with the same eye, it would indeed be a very boring world.
